⚖️ Tiebreakers — When Two Teams Have the Same Points

If two or more teams finish with the same number of points, FIFA uses the following tiebreakers in this order to determine ranking:

1	Goal Difference (GD)	Goals scored minus goals conceded across all 3 matches. Higher is better. Example: scored 5, conceded 2 → GD of +3.
2	Goals Scored (GF)	Total number of goals the team has scored. More goals = higher ranking.
3	Head-to-Head Points	If the tied teams played each other, who won that specific match?
4	Head-to-Head Goal Difference	Goal difference only in the match(es) between the tied teams.
5	Head-to-Head Goals Scored	Goals scored only in the match(es) between the tied teams.
6	Fair Play (Disciplinary)	Fewer yellow and red cards. A red card counts more than a yellow.
7	FIFA World Ranking	Last resort — the team ranked higher by FIFA before the tournament wins the tiebreaker.
